Project 52 Week 25: Selfies

Welcome to week 25 of our 52 Week Pet Photography Blog Circle.  This weeks’ topic is “Selfies”!

What is a “selfie”?  It is defined as: “An image of oneself taken by oneself using a digital camera especially for posting on social networks”.  Selfies are big on Facebook and Instagram.  I admit, I can count on one hand how often I’ve taken one of myself  – it’s a rare occurrence!  There are many people who do this on a daily basis…. and several times a day – haha!

I though it would be a good week to introduce some adoptable cats that I photographed this week.  My neighbor recently opened a new cat rescue located in Seabrook, NH called Cat Tales.  She asked if I’d like to photograph the cats looking for homes.  I visited the rescue for the first time this past Monday.  She has done an amazing job!  They have about 8 rooms and she has the rooms painted in fun, bright colors – great for photographs!

I asked the cats if they would like to do some “selfies” for my blog post this week.  They were a bit shy and asked for my help.  So i’d like to introduce you to some of the available cats and our version of “selfies” this week!

  1. Lovely job – I perhaps took the “selfies” very literal and knew I wouldn’t do that – so skipped this week. I am generally not a fan of the looking down on a cat (or dog), but in this case, I actually like the first photo the best 🙂
