Project 52 Week 33: “Multiple Perspectives”

Welcome to Week 33 of our Professional Pet Photography Blog Circle: “Multiple Perspectives”

I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to post this week, but Thursday afternoon (ahhh, the day before posts are due!) I was excited to receive a new book from Amazon Prime, RESCUE DOGS, by our very own blog circle member, Susannah Maynard with Pet Love Photography.  Woohoo!!!  I have never met Susannah in person, but I do know she is an animal advocate who does a lot to promote adoptable shelter animals.  She’s caring and genuine with a  heart of gold.  And her photography is amazing and so inspiring!!!

Please check out her book (link with the title).  I can’t wait to dive into the heartwarming stories later this evening of dogs lives who were saved by rescue groups.

In honor of Susannah’s newly published book, Kota wanted to share some images displaying her book in different perspectives!  Kota is my rescue – She was found as a stray with her brother and sister in rural Arkansas.  She was fortunate to be given a 2nd chance.  She’s been a challenging dog – very fearful and sensitive – but she brings so much joy to my life and has inspired me to work with animals!

Susannah, CONGRATULATIONS, from me and Kota!!!

The following images were taken from the same spot but different perspectives.  The first 1 is ground level close-up so more of an “up” angle.  The 2nd was ground level but a little bit further back.  And the 3rd was taken from above, looking down.  All three were with a Canon 24-70 mm lens.

  1. I am so honored that you and Kota chose to feature my book in your blog this week. I hope you both enjoy the pictures and stories. I like how the first two images really show the difference between shooting at those focal lengths,

    1. Our pleasure, Susannah! I read through it last night… wonderful seeing Mr. Bojangles and Paco’s stories – and love what you included on the “seniors” and “special needs” pooches – heartwarming!!! I enjoy comparing focal lengths – the difference always amazes me!

  2. Kota looks pleased as punch to pose with Susannah’s book. I have to order it. It’s a tie between the first and second photo for me. I just cannot decide.

    1. Thanks, Elaine! Kota would like to be in Susannah’s 2nd edition! 🙂 I like the first 2 also… shots from “looking down” i prefer just the head because of the DOF. Have a wonderful vacation!!!

Tell me what you think!
