Sunrise Lynch Park in Beverly

Dog Friendly Lynch Park

Looking to enjoy a dog friendly park on Boston’s North Shore?  Have you checked out Lynch Park in Beverly, MA?

David S.  Lynch Memorial Park, owned by the city of Beverly, is situated on a point with views of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Woodbury Cove to the west. This historic north shore landmark is the former site of the Robert and Marie Antoinette Evans estate and there is a carriage house, two beaches, and a beautiful rose garden.

Lynch Park was featured in my recent book, Tails of the North Shore, with dogs highlighting locations north of Boston while raising funds for animal rescue.  We raised over $2000 for this MSPCA Nevins Farm through this book project.

Kiwi and Archie were my wonderful dog models.  We met at sunrise – believe it or not, sunrise is a busy time!  I’m shocked my how many people are up that early with their pups.  I only wake up for beautiful light!  My dog, Kota, has always done a great job at sleeping in with me!

Archie and Kiwi are both from the same rescue.  The love hiking together and are best buddies.  There mom says, “The two add joy, playfulness and fun to our lives.” That’s what it’s all about!

Here is the Rose Garden area.  It’s not a place to walk your dogs, but it makes a lovely backdrop for photos!

Boston’s North Shore has so many dog friendly parks, beaches, and hiking trails.  It’s one of the reasons I love living here!  And no matter what season, there is also beauty to be found.  Hope you enjoy your visit here!

Just note, like many other beaches in MA, on leash dogs are allowed at Lynch Park  from Tuesday, September 7, 2021 to Sunday, May 29, 2022 anytime. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE ROSE GARDEN AT ANY TIME.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  This week’s post is part of a pet photographer’s blog circle. This week we are learning about parks are all over the world.  Next up Dallas dog photographer Tracy Allard of Penny Whistle Photography lets you in on a great new location find for pet and family portraits. Enjoy!!!

  1. Nice job – love the images of Kiwi! Thanks for sharing – it’s good to know there are so many dog friendly parks in Boston. I’ve not been there in a long time and it was always business trips, so never had any of my fur kids with me.
