Project 52 Week 28: “Comic”

Welcome to Week 28 of our 52 Week Pet Photography Blog Circle.  This week’s topic is “comic” – a fun one for sure!

What comes to mind when I hear the word “comic”?  Making people laugh, of  course!

I chose my “patient” model, Kota for this week.  And since it’s been so hot lately, we brought things indoors and set up the Alien Bee 800 for some fun “winter” themed portraits using warm hats and snow overlays!  The backdrop is called “Blue Jean” and it’s one of my favorite seamless paper colors from Savage Universal.

The first image is Kota flaunting long, silky hair in our favorite winter hat brand out of Kentucky, Sweet Turns.  This fun hat is my favorite and made in Peru.

Next up is Kota modeling my “Mad Bomber” warm hat that i wear dog walking during the coldest of winter days!

  1. Haha, Kota! She looks like she really enjoyed this weeks theme! I love her little grin, these images are hilarious, you both definitely made me laugh! The mad bomber is just the best!

    1. Thanks, Linda! She had fun with this – haha! So i say! 🙂 Beef treats are a must! And i can’t believe how well she did with that “Mad Bomber” hat!

  2. Great images – somehow I am not thinking that my dogs will allow me to do this to them but maybe I’ll try and see what happens (it might turn out to be comic!).

    1. Haha! I usually involve steak or burger and she goes right to the back drop and does a “down” 🙂 Thanks, Linda!

  3. Kota seems so good about wearing hats, and the hat choices were fantastic! Great idea to meet the theme! Mad Bomber is my fave, but only by a hair.

    1. Thanks, Elaine! I think she was thrilled this wasn’t happening outdoors in the heat – haha!!! The “Mad Bomber” is definitely my favorite for winter warmth 🙂
