Warm Winter Wishes

Tis’ the Season…. for mint hot cocoa, Helly Hansen snow pants, cute Jambu fleece lined boots, a new pair of plum and pink Bombas socks, a 2022 planner from Erin Condren, and vanilla dipped ginger snaps… these are just a few of my favorite things throughout the  holiday season!  My husband and I are looking forward to a quiet Christmas with our husky mix, Kota.  I’ve done some baking, and even carried on the tradition of making homemade cheese and potato pierogi for Christmas Eve – my Polish grandmothers recipe.  We will probably grill some steaks to go with them!

We got our tree on December 9th – the same day we get it every year, from Paisley’s in Boxford.  This year, it was one of the last trees on the lot – just another inconvenience from Covid!   It’s a bit of “Land of Misfits-Charlie Brown” tree, but decorated with sparkling lights and ornaments, it’s beautiful!

As I write this, I treated myself to something fun today – i had an oracle card reading done by Rachel Liv Bancroft who is a clairvoyant, medium and spiritual guide here in Georgetown, MA. It was refreshing and inspiring!  It felt wonderful to take some time for me today.

Despite the pandemic, it’s been an amazing year!  I’ve enjoyed every moment of it!  I made many new connections with some wonderful people and their amazing pets. Now I’m looking forward to relaxing and spending quality time with my little family.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like much of a white Christmas, but we did get a “dusting” of snow – and as Angela Schneider of Big White Dog Photography would call it, a “skiff”. With the little bit of snow, I grabbed my husband, set up my 5D Mk IV and had him take some pictures of me and Kota.  Any. little bit of white fluffy stuff brings her joy! Not bad, Pete!

  1. Love the shots of “You & Kota” in the dusting of snow. Pete is getting ready to take over your job. Homemade pierogi sounds great.

  2. I love that you celebrate my wedding anniversary with buying a Christmas tree ;). You had everything lined up for a wonderful, cozy New England holiday – the only thing missing was the snow! Bummer! Love the pics of you and Kota (and yes, well done Pete!).
