Giving Back to the Community

I have a soft spot for rescues. My Husky Mix, Kota, was a rescue. She taught me patience, love, compassion and the meaning of pure joy. When I came across her photo browsing through Petfinder, it instantly stole my heart. A beautiful photo of a shelter dog increases their chances of being adopted into a loving, forever home.

I am honored to be a member of HeartsSpeak a global community of artists helping animals find their forever homes. When possible, I volunteer my time photographing adoptable animals at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. I have a passion for capturing their spirit, showing the love they have to offer. Rescues will always hold a special place in my heart.  Please reach out if you are a rescued in need of images to help animals find forever homes.

My Personal Project

I moved up to Boston’s North Shore in the year 2000 and I have fallen in love with everything it has to offer. This region inspired me to join a collective called Tails of the Word, an international fundraising book project celebrating dogs.  Through this book project I raised over $3000 to help the animals and community programs at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm.

Dogs and New England

New England had so much to offer dogs and their owners.  We have everything from harbors and beautiful beaches along the coast, to tranquil trails for hiking and outdoor activities inland.  There is beauty in the outdoors no matter what the season, allowing for stunning backdrops photographing dogs.

MSPCA at Nevins Farm

The MSPCA Nevins Farm will always hold a special place in my heart.  I taught dog training classes there for 6 years and just before that I began photographing some of their adoptable animals.  The MSPCA is one of the largest animal care and adoption centers in New England.

Say Paws Calendar Contest 2

In 2021 I launched my first Say Paws 2022 calendar contest and raised over $12,000 to help the animals and community programs at the MSPCA Nevins Farm.  It was so much fun, we hope to continue the contest and make it a yearly thing!
