Home for the Holidays

Just one wish… HOME!

The year is coming to an end and Christmas is right around the corner! This week’s 52 Week Pet Photography Blog Circle topic is “Holidays”. I decided to share some recent images of the variety of animals I photographed from 2 rescues that are looking for forever homes this Holiday Season 🙂

First up is my Barn session at the MSPCA at Nevin’s Farm in Methuen, MA. My project was a holiday card. This was also my first time photographing ducks and roosters – how fun! Can you believe that the ducks wore scarves like champs? And the roosters – game for getting in the holiday spirit!

Some of the ducks were adopted – yay! Adorable Huey is STILL available! Have you ever considered a duck as a pet? I had no idea!

Next up is Rooster, “Stone” – isn’t he handsome and doesn’t he look so regal?

Next meet meet Rose, a 20 year old haflinger. She came to the shelter in rough shape – poor girl. Does’t she look lovely?

Next up is sweet senior Beagle, Buster from our dog session day. He is 11 and deserves to be home for Christmas! Look at that face! We photographed 12 dogs and I’m showcasing this boy – he’s been in the shelter too long!

Next up are a few of the cats looking for their Christmas wish at Cat Tales Rescue in Seabrook, NH! Don’t they look festive?

First up is a bonded pair, Comet and Cupid. I am surprised these two haven’t been swooped up yet!

Next up is super sweet, gray short haired, Cammie. Aw, what an adorable face!

Please consider adopting when searching for a new family member. Visit your local shelter, and as you can see, all kinds of animals are available. You will be sure to find the perfect pet to warm your heart!

If you are a rescue in need of professional photos for your adoptable animals, please reach out and click here! I would love to help! I am honored to be a member of HeartsSpeak, an amazing organization of artists helping animals.

Have a Merry Christmas and thanks for stopping by! Next up in our blog circle is the wonderful Lynda Mowat from Heartstrings Photography, based in Hamilton New Zealand.

  1. I hope all of these pets find their forever homes soon. I’ve pet sat for ducks before… they lived in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Charlotte (I’m talking gated mega mansions.) They even had a creek running through their backyard they got to frequent.

    1. Thank you so much, Kim! Wow… i’ve never met a family who had ducks before! That’s awesome! I bet they live a great life!!!
