Valentine’s Day! The holiday of “Love”. If you are new to my blog post, I thought I’d introduce you to my family – Pete and Kota – and share with you their bond!
Pete is my husband and we just had our 11 year anniversary on January 28th. Shortly after that, February 3rd, I celebrated a Birthday. With Valentine’s Day here, my husband has a challenging few weeks of holidays LOL!
Kota is our “baby”. April will be 10 years with Kota and she makes our world! She’s changed our lives – from living a life of travel, to now becoming “homebodies” and doing everything “for” or “with” her. I wouldn’t change a thing!
I thought I’d share a fun little story this week. When Kota was younger, I contacted an animal communicator to “tap” into Kota. I wanted to find out what was going on in this challenging pup’s head haha! I was in touch with Laurie Blomer, psychic, channel and animal communicator. She even did a live workshop on animal communication that I attended that was inspiring. Something that had stuck with me over the years that she said, “Kota thinks of you as a friend, buddy, equal. She loves and adores your husband.” Umm… .kind of a slap in the face to me? Haha!!! Really? Guess what? This is TRUE! I walk Kota twice a day every day….but she is absolutely head-over-heels- in love with her dad! And here are a few pictures that show her love for her dad. They are two peas-in-pod. Aren’t they the cutest together?
These two make me smile!!! I’m not jealous of their bond one bit – haha!!!
Happy Valentin’s Day to you and your “love”! This is a 52 week project blog circle and if you click on the link at the end of each post, it will take you to another amazing photographer. Next up in our circle is Elaine Tweedy of I Got the Shot Photography, finding furry valentines in Northeastern PA and surrounding areas. Elaine does beautiful work and I”m looking forward to seeing her take on “love/red” this week! Enjoy your weekend!

I love seeing these photos of Pete and Kota. I especially love the last one! There is a something about a man who loves a dog. 🙂
Thank you, Kim! I love seeing the two of the together – definitely warms my heart!
I just love Kota! It’s great to have a partner who loves animals like we do, isn’t it? Great images. Great connection. I also noticed your byline. . Love that idea and I may have to borrow it. Happy Belated Anniversary and Birthday!
Thank you, Elaine! So true when our partners feel the same – makes it all “simple” 🙂 And thanks for the Birthday and Anniversary wishes!!!
Great shots of Pete & Kota. Dogs have a strong bond with their owners.
Thank you! Pete and Kota = two peas-in-a-pod for sure!
What a bond! It’s hard to explain to people what a heart dog is and this sums it up. Great job lovely lady.
Thanks, Danyel – yes, Kota is our “heart” dog for sure XO
I don’t know what I’d do if I found out Bella loved my husband more than me. OMG. I mean, I know she “likes” him but I don’t know if I could handle it. Kota and Pete do make a sweet couple, though.
HAHA! I know …she ADORES him! I try to win her over lol!
You can see in her eyes that she’s connected to him. Great Valentine story ❤️
Thank you so much, Cindy! These two are definitely attached!!!
A great story – I have to say that the second photo makes me think of when a man and woman take hands before a dance ….and your Kota is doing that with your husband. I have talked with an animal communicator also – it’s interesting for sure!
Oh em geee, the image with the heart made me laugh out loud! LOL Kota should always be photographed in the snow!
Completely in her element!!! I will be sad when winter ends
