Welcome to week 13 of the 52 Week Pet Photography Project! Last week i was “on break” 🙂 I admit, I struggled with the topic, HDR (High Dynamic Range), and did not have the time to get out there and learn! I’m back on board this week with “Green”.
We had a late start to winter this year, and now we are starting late with spring. We don’t have too much “greenery”. Things are brown and muddy. I do see a bit of “olive” green out there!
I started this assignment indoors with a “Sea Green” seamless paper from Savage Universal and a large papason cushion from my favorite papason chair. Maybe that was a mistake – I think this green whimsy cushion is now Kota’s bed. I never see dog beds THIS large! Kota, you’re a lucky girl! 🙂

Next is what the outside looks like at the moment. Friday, the day this will post, we are expecting 6-9 inches of snow – woohoo! Kota will LOVE that! 🙂

Thank you for stopping by our 52 Week Pet Photography Project. Next up in our blog circle is BARKography by Kim Hollis based in Charlotte NC. Check out her amazing pet photography and her take on this week’s topic of “Green”. Enjoy!!!
Green is Kota’s color!
I think I like the green! I haven’t used this background much but may try it for the shelter pups 🙂
I had to laugh… your prop might now be Kota’s new bed. I love that first image.
Yes, I’ve kept it on the floor … and she now spends most of her time on it! Haha!!! Thanks!
I adore the second image! Love the background 🙂 (But I’m very partial to natural light outdoor photographs 😛 ) I have to agree with Jessica, green does seem to be his color!
Thanks, Kelly! I do love natural outdoor light, too… but I’ve been dabbling a bit indoors!
Kota looks so good framed in green!
Thanks, Linda! I kind of like the green, too!
Oh, yes! That is definitely Kota’s cushion/bed! 😉
Since this photo was taken… she spends the majority of naps on this cushion!!! 🙂
Love the “shades of green” photo. What an expressive face he has.
Thank you so much, Kathie! Yes, she does not hide any emotion!!! 🙂
Top photo, great green for St. Patrick’s Day! Know Kota will enjoy the snow that’s coming your way!
Thank you! Yes, perfect for next St. Patty’s Day!!! Kota loved the snow but it’s all melting today – 52 degrees!
Yes, Paws and Green!
🙂 Yes!
I think Kota looks good in any color, but this is especially nice. And I love that first image!
Thanks so much, Elaine!
